Connection Telegram account to Hotline CRM

This page describes and shows the procedure for connecting an existing Telegram account to Hotline CRM (essentially the account turns into the so-called userbot). After connecting, you can work as a team on the side of the topic group on behalf of the connected account.
Unlike connecting bots, when connecting an account (telegram userbot) it becomes possible to write first to others Telegram users and even bots, show Stories to all users who interacted with the account, monitor groups and channels by keywords, and also receive calls from the entire team via PBX (if using SIP.TG gateway).

Important points:
  • The account from which you work with the setup bot @hotlinetg_botIs called Administrative.
  • Account (userbot), which is connected with a topic group, is called Connectable.
  • The owner of the topic group must be an Administrator account.
  • Connected account (userbot) must be active on a mobile device with a camera to scan the QR code from the app Telegram to create a new session.
  • At the stage of learning the system, it is better for the administrator and connected accounts to be different.
The procedure for connecting an account to a topic group through the system’s installation bot Hotline is very simple, but it is important to understand from which account which operations need to be performed.

Press the New Connection button, then select Connect Account

Scan the suggested QR code from the app Telegram, in which the Connected account is active (done from the menu ☰ → Settings → Devices → Link Desktop Device)

Select or create a new topic group to work with the button Choose Group (the administrator account must be the owner of it or have the right to add administrators)

Test the connection by sending a message to the connected account (it should send an automatic response)

Complete the connection, after which you can proceed to the settings of the greeting and other parameters
